![]() ![]() ![]() Only a temporary setback, because I wasted no time in getting another Single Six, then another and another. Unfortunately, several years, later, I had to sell my little Ruger to pay for college textbooks and tuition. That was an Old Model, of course, with the pre-lawyer lockwork and delicious three click feel and sound that all single action lovers adore. It was exactly what I had wanted and as soon as I had that last penny saved, it was mine. Saved my pennies and that summer, got my first ever pistol, a Ruger Single Six with fixed sights. In 1968 I was an eager to get my first pistol because that was the age I could legally carry one in my state. ![]() That say you can't go home and there's some truth to that, but sometimes you can come close. ![]()
